INTRO
OP NETTLE I
In the Year 2015, US army tried to start a new conflict in the Middle East following a forced retreat from Afghanistan and a failed attempt to start a war in Syria. Iran quickly became a prominent target, mostly due to their nuclear program. This time around though, Russia decided to get involved in the conflict in order to protect Iran's interest. The US responded by calling upon their allies for help and together they've started their invasion of the Middle East by attacking Turkey. The Allies' primary goal was to build stable relationships with the locals while simultaneously dismantling Kurds training camps which are supported by the Taliban’s.
However, the resistance proved to be stronger than they were expecting and with added aid of Russians in favour of Kurd militants, the Allies have had difficulties ensuring their victory.
OP NETTLE II
After the Ally forces met the surprisingly strong resistance of Kurd militants further strengthened by Russian forces, they suffered great losses and ultimately failed in their primary mission. Allies forces are now forced to retreat and regroup. Huge losses of local civilians, a population whichthey were to protect from militants and isolate them from conflict, aren’t doing them any favours. Nonetheless, the Allies are not giving up on their intensions to establish control over Militant forces and completely remove Russian forces from the country. Kurds militants, together with their new allies, the Russians, are planning an attack on Ally forces, but at the same time are tactically preparing for a counter attack.
There seems to be no end in sight for this conflict and peace talks and treaties are no longer an option for any of the party involved.
OP NETTLE III
The Allies have managed to successfully regroup and gather their strength which, as a result has enabled them to breech and conquer enemy territory. Furthermore, they have established a new base camp on an extremely important strategic point which was, up until then, a militant’s stronghold. During the Allies' offensive mission, the Militants succeeded in launching a Russian ballistic missile with nuclear warhead. Fortunately, the Allies have managed to prevent the missile from going off and have crashed it into the ocean. Allies' main goal now is keeping the fragile peace and securing a formation of a new government. Their other focus is eliminating remaining militant forces and deporting all Russian soldiers from the country. Other major collision point is the militant's financing recourses, which is of great interest to both the Allies and the Russians. At the moment the control of the before mentioned resources belongs to Sheik Muhammad Al Magda. Sheik has no allegiance to either side but is willing to side with whoever secures him smooth trades and transport of the resources and most importantly, to whoever can guarantee to keep him in his position of power.
OP NETTLE IV - "THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS"
Although the Allies achieved their goal of gaining control of Sheik's resources, the operation of removing Kurd militants and Russian army hasn't been entirely successful. The local inhabitants keep stirring the fragile relationship between the Allies and the Sheik. The locals, who have secretly sided with the Militant, have stolen and slaughtered a lamb which was coincidently the property of Sheik Muhammad Al Magda. As a result of this provocation, the Sheik suspicions of Allies’ ability to protect him and his interest grew that much stronger. The Militants, together with the Russians, are slowly taking advantage of high tensions between the Sheik and the Allies and have fervently started making plans of their own. Meanwhile Sheik has decided to expand his business across the country which consequently means there are now more highly desirable resources to gain control over.
OP NETTLE V - "NEW BEGINNING"
The Allies have been successful in their task of controlling and transporting all of Sheik's resources as well as assuring the safety of both the Sheik and his village. However, the danger still exists in form of a coalition between the militants and the Russians whose forces remain strong. Furthermore, the opposition’s troops have regrouped and moved their base to a new secret location and are excessively developing their plans of offense. Considering their advantage on the field, the Allies have moved their base to a new location as well. The Allies’ base is now under the new command of general Robert Fucknevile. There are changes in command on all sides - with Hamid Karani in command of Kurd’s army, and in charge of the Russian army is now the experienced general Ivan Picjebev. The situation on the field has shifted from quiet and stable to the state of unrest due to the sudden death of Sheik Muhammad Al Magda. The arrival of his successor, his son Sheik Alhamed, has even the playing fields seeing how all sides have to fight once again for Sheik’s allegiance. It would seem, contrary to recent beliefs, that there is no end in sight for these battles.
